I'm So Glad You're Here!

Hey friends! I'm Regina- the face behind The Hot Mess Brunette Blog. It may or may not surprise you that I've started this blog many years ago and stopped every year I restarted it- hence the perfect name: The Hot Mess Brunette! So with that being said, welcome to my new blog site! The Hot Mess Brunette was created by yours truly back in 2018 when I published my very first blog not really having any idea where I was going with this. I published a few posts in 2018, 2019, 2022 and a couple in 2023. Throughout the years, I've had some ups and downs which put a hold on my writing and personal motivation to share absolutely anything.

Recently my family and I have undergone some pretty traumatic occurences that many of our friends and family have followed very closely. The early birth of our son- Stetson Rhett. After having some weeks to take all that has happened in and understanding how we got to where we are and my best friend pushing me to start this blog back up- I decided to share our story, Stetson's story and so much more through this page.

Not only am I willing to share Stetson's story in great detail as he fights in the NICU, but I will be sharing all things lifestyle: my journey with grief, our family adventures, my favorite book reads and professional development. As a mother to now 3 and a wife- I am constantly busy and all over the place but I find peace in knowing that if my blog can help just one person overcome difficulties in life, inspire someone or just make someone smile- I will stay motivated to share all that I can.

Now, if you don't know me personally- let me formally introduce myself. I'm Regina, mother to a teenage daughter Aniyah, my 7 year old Greyson and now my littlest Stetson. I am a wife of 10 years to my husband who recently medically retired from the military. We were a military family for 10 years and have lived in 4 different states. Aside from writing, I enjoy reading. My genre of choice is mainly psychological thriller and self help- but I tend to dabble in romance, fantasy and others on occasions. I enjoy sports, both coaching and being a spectator; however, at times- like many mama's my mouth can get me in trouble. I take way too many photos with not enough storage in my phone and leave clean unfolded laundry in a basket for days. I am stepping stronger into my bible era and am strong in faith that our God is Good, All the Time. I hope this blog builds a community of others who can relate to all things lilfe- both the good and the bad. I pray this page helps you and others see that no matter how much of a mess we may think we are, there is still so much beauty held within.
